It all started with a crazy obsession with the perfect wing. Back in 2019, our founder Marcus couldn't find wings that met his ridiculously high standards anywhere in Deer Isle. So he did what any wing-obsessed person would do – he opened his own place!

What began as a small dream in a tiny kitchen has grown into Wing Snob, where we're unapologetically picky about quality. We source the juiciest chicken, craft our sauces from scratch daily, and refuse to serve anything that doesn't make us go "WOW!" ourselves.

Sure, we're called "snobs" – but only when it comes to our food standards. When it comes to our customers? We're just regular folks who happen to be ridiculously passionate about serving you the most amazing wings and comfort food you'll ever taste.

From crazy dream to local legend

2019

The Wing Obsession Begins

Marcus starts experimenting with wing recipes in his home kitchen, driven by his inability to find the "perfect wing" anywhere in Deer Isle. Friends and family become willing (and very happy) test subjects.

2020

Pop-Up Success

Despite the challenges, Marcus launches weekly wing pop-ups at the local farmer's market. Lines form before he even sets up his tent. The community's response is overwhelming – "These wings are INSANE!"

2021

Finding Our Home

After months of searching, we find our perfect spot on Goose Cove Rd. The space needs work, but Marcus can already picture customers enjoying wings and good times. Renovation begins with help from local contractors and friends.

2022

Wing Snob is Born

Grand opening! The line wraps around the building on day one. Local food bloggers discover us, and word spreads like wildfire. "Wing Snob" becomes the talk of Deer Isle – in the best possible way.

2023

Growing the Squad

As demand grows, so does our team. Sarah, Jake, and Luna join the Wing Snob family, each bringing their own passion and expertise. Our core values remain the same: quality, fun, and community.

2024

Local Legend Status

Wing Snob becomes a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists. We expand our menu while staying true to our wing roots. Food & Wine magazine calls us "Maine's best-kept secret" – but not for long!

2025

The Future is Delicious

We're constantly innovating while staying true to what made us special. New seasonal sauces, exciting collaborations with local farms, and always that same obsession with making every single wing absolutely perfect.
